Not quite getting the hang of this blogging thing..

Happy Holidays!!  It's been a long time since I've blogged, I'm not quite in the groove of making posts- especially with the holidays coming around and making us busy.  It's my busy time at work from now through February, and with school it just makes things so much more busy!  I can't wait to show you our holiday cards that I'm working on...I took the boys to see Santa and I'm just so happy with how the pictures turned out- I can't wait!  Well back to work (since I'm cheating and making a quick post at work)...I'll write more later!

Daily Photo fail...

Happy Halloween 2011

So I have NOT had the time to do a daily photo...although I want to it's just hard to find the time to fit it in and then come back to the computer, download it and add a blog posting.  I like the idea I've seen on several blogs I follow...the "Wordless Wednesday's" are pretty cool.  I might start to do that here soon...I really want to work on my photos and taking pictures since I've got a great camera now.  Next purchase will be Photoshop...I'm so amazed with what people can do with Photoshop- then I'll need to take a class to learn how to use it.  Happy Late Halloween by the way!!  We had a great time, Aidan with out with his friend Aryn and did the loop around Grandma's house with Uncle Austin- they got lots of loot and had a great time!

Pumpkin Patch Day- Rock Creek Farms

The hardest thing about tackling this project to blog and take pictures is coming from the fact that my laptop died earlier in the year so our only computer is the one in the dungeon basement, and some days I cannot manage to come down here...Friday night and it's the first time I've set foot in the basement since last Sunday...well that will have to change.  I need to learn how to add the watermarks to my photos that everyone does...I'm sure I will learn at some point.  For now I'll just post them and hope that nobody try's to use my photos.  I took today off from work to take the boys to the pumpkin patch and it was so much fun!  Check out my handsome boys!!  At this point I haven't learned to do any editing to the photos so they are just as they were taken.  I hope to learn some of the fancy editing here soon and I'll try it out on my images.

Blast from the past...

Today I attended the baby shower of a close high school friend.  It's amazing how time fly's because it was pointed out to me that it has been 15 years since we graduated from high school...Wow that makes me feel OLD.  I also tend to forget that I have a 10 year old son as well-I'm not old enough to have a 10 year old am I??  Yes I am, and yes it's been 15 years since I graduated.  It's nice when even after several years of not getting together the conversation between old friends just seems to pick up where you left off a few years prior...when you last found the time for a lunch date...It also makes me aware that it is important to take time between our hectic lives to get together with those who have shared in your previous years...It was great to see old friends again today and celebrate a new life on the way.  I can't wait to meet the newest little addition next month!  Congrats Sara and Jay!  Picture of the day is of the three of us...

Where to go with this?

I have no idea where I am wanting to go with this new blog...I recently got a new fancy camera that I am learning to use and therefore will begin doing my goal of taking a daily picture in order to help me learn the tricks of my camera and also document my life...so at a minimum you will begin to see pictures.  I'm a wife and mother to two wonderful boys whom are 10 years and 3 months old.  I work full time and also help out the family business on the weekends...both jobs involve property management, commercial during the week and residential on the weekends.  I am also going to school to complete my Bachelor's degree.  Finding time to start a blog...am I crazy??  No, it just sounds like FUN!  I love to chat and I can't wait to see where this takes me.  Now it's off to stop procrastinating from my homework which is due before midnight tonight.  I'll catch you all tomorrow!  I'll add a picture that I took on my morning drive into work last week...I was stuck on Speer Blvd...like always it seems!
